Who We Are
Afya Mashinani Hub (AMH)
A community-based organization based in Kiambu County, in the Central region of Kenya. Since 2022, AMH has been actively working with local communities, community health workers, and county administration to implement health initiatives through strategic partnerships.
Africa's Health Challenge
Afya Mashinani Hub aims to bridge these gaps by championing community-driven, evidence-informed health interventions. Through research, health education, promotion, and the delivery of primary health care services, AMH is committed to advancing accessible, equitable, and sustainable health outcomes at the grassroots level.

At Afya Mashinani Hub, we are committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 1 on No Poverty.
We focus on prevention, treatment, and health promotion to improve community health, while also supporting social protection systems that reduce poverty and protect vulnerable populations from healthcare costs.
Empowering communities with relevant health information and practical tools to promote healthy behaviors, prevent disease, and manage common health conditions through outreach, education, and collaboration with existent local health networks.
Driving community-centered solutions through participatory community research, data sharing, and context sensitive knowledge translation of study findings through community engagement.
